Alpha Sigma Tau takes pride in their academics.  Last fall we received the highest semester GPA and second highest cumulative GPA out of all of the sororities on campus.  Once our newest members were initiated we received the honor of the highest cumulative GPA out of all of the sororities on campus. Hillary Burnside, current Vice President helps our sisters succeed by assisting them in arranging tutoring appointments as well as giving us study tips on how to succeed. We have continued the tradition of “Major Moms” a program where sisters can work together on their schoolwork and help each other with their emphasis of study. Our mandatory study hours help our sisters with time-management and increase the level of sisterhood that is already the highest on campus.

 

In addition to excelling in their academics many of our members are apart of various honor societies and organizations.  Two of our members were also initiated into Order of Omega honors fraternity last year for their excellence in academics. Congratulations to Megan Amileo and Samantha Costello. Eight of our members also received Dean’s List last fall.

 

We are very proud of our new members and our sisters for upholding the 2.5 GPA and exceeding the requirements.  We believe that maintaining these standards is an asset that separates us from other chapters on campus.
